【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtocomparetheglossofporcelainenamel,ceramic,andotherfinishesortoprovideacomparisonoftheirresistancetoattackfromacid,alkali,orotherenvironmentalfactorsbymeasurementofglossloss.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthespecularglossofporcelainenameledspecimens,butmaybeapplicabletootherspecimenshavingsimilarreflectioncharacteristics.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtocomparetheglossofporcelainenameledspecimensortoprovideanindexofacidorabrasionresistancebymeasurementofglossloss.Note1Specularglossisoneofseveralrelatedappearanceattributesthatproducethesensationofglossiness.Forthisreason,specularglossmeasurementsmaynotalwayscorrelatewellwithvisualrankingsofglossiness.Note2Improvedcorrelationswithvisualjudgmentscansometimesbeachievedbytheuseofinstrumentswithdifferentgeometriesthanthosespecifiedherein.RefertoTestMethodD523for20,60,and85-deggeometries.Valuesgenerallycannotbepredicatedforonegeometryfrommeasurementsmadewithanother.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
