【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthegravimetricdeterminationofmetalremovalfluidaerosolconcentrationsinworkplaceatmospheres.Thetestmethodprovidestotalparticulatematterconcentrationsforcomparisonwithhistoricalexposuredatabasescollectedwiththesametechnology.Thetestmethodprovidesanextensiontocurrentnonstandardizedmethodsbyaddinganextractablemassconcentrationwhichreducesinterferencesfromnonmetalremovalfluidaerosols.Thetestmethoddoesnotaddressdifferencesbetweenmetalremovalfluidtypes,butitdoesincludeextractionwithabroadspectrumofsolventpolaritytoremoveanyofthecurrentfluidformulationsfrominsolublebackgroundaerosoladequately.Thetestmethoddoesnotidentifyorquantifyanyspecificputativetoxinsintheworkplacethatcanberelatedtometalremovalfluidaerosolsorvapors.Thetestmethoddoesnotaddressthelossofsemivolatilecompoundsfromthefilterduringoraftercollection.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforthedeterminationofbothtotalcollectedparticulatematterandextractablemassmetalremovalfluidaerosolconcentrationsintherangeof0.05to5mg/m3inworkplaceatmospheres.1.2Thistestmethoddescribesastandardizedmeansofcollectingworkerexposureinformationthatcanbecomparedtoexistingexposuredatabases,usingatestmethodthatisalsomorespecifictometalremovalfluids.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
