【摘要】:Manydryelectrostaticdevelopersconsistoftonersandcarriersandonlythetonerportionofwhichformsthevisibleimageonthecopy.Single-componenttoner(ordeveloper)doesnotcontainacarrier,andintheory,whenproperlyused,isconsumedatarateproportionaltotheimageareaanddensity.Aswithalldrydevelopers,single-componenttoners(ordevelopers)arenot100%efficient.Sometonerislosttothesurroundings(insideoroutsideofthecopiers).Thislossisalsodependentoncopieradjustmentsandmaybesignificantenoughtoaffectthetotalnumberofcopiescapableofbeingproducedbyaspecificamountoftoner.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationoftonerusage,efficiencyoftonerdepositiononanimagedcopy,anddustinginthosenonheatfixingcopiersutilizingasingle-componenttoner.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection8and10.19.2forspecificprecautionsandwarnings.
