【摘要】:ThiodiglycolisaSchedule2compoundundertheChemicalWeaponsConvention(CWC).Schedule2chemicalsincludethosethatareprecursorstochemicalweapons,chemicalweaponsagentsorhaveanumberofothercommercialuses.Theyareusedasingredientstoproduceinsecticides,herbicides,lubricants,andsomepharmaceuticalproducts.Schedule2chemicalscanbefoundinapplicationsunrelatedtochemicalweapons.Thiodiglycolisbothamustardgasprecursoranddegradantaswellasaningredientinwater-basedinks,ballpointpeninks,dyesandsomepesticides.Thismethodhasbeeninvestigatedforusewithreagentandsurfacewater.1.1Thisprocedurecoversthedeterminationofthiodiglycol(TDG)insurfacewaterbydirectinjectionusingliquidchromatography(LC)anddetectedwithtandemmassspectrometry(MS/MS).TDGisqualitativelyandquantitativelydeterminedbythismethod.Thismethodadherestosinglereactionmonitoring(SRM)massspectrometry.1.2ThistestmethodhasbeendevelopedinsupportoftheNationalHomelandSecurityResearchCenter,USEPAbyRegion5ChicagoRegionalLaboratory.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4TheDetectionVerificationLevel(DVL)andReportingRangeforTDGarelistedinTable1.1.4.1TheDVLisrequiredtobeataconcentrationatleast3timesbelowthereportinglimit(RL)andhaveasignal/noiseratiogreaterthan3:1.Fig.1displaysthesignal/noiseratioattheDVL.1.4.2TheRListheconcentrationofthelevel1calibrationstandardasshowninTable2.Thereportinglimitforthismethodis100x03BC;g/L.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
